The Delta Hubwheelers Square Dance Club has scheduled December dances on Saturday nights, Dec. 3 and 17, in the aerobics room at the Bill Heddles Recreation Center, 531 N. Palmer Street, Delta.
The Dec. 3 dance will have a "Pearl Harbor" theme, with the 75th anniversary of the historic event in a few days. Dancers are encouraged to wear red, white and blue colors. The Dec. 17 dance will have a Christmas theme.
The dances will feature our regular club caller, Naaman Moorehouse. All dances are Mainstream with Plus tips. Round dances are to recordings and include beginner and advanced levels. Pre-rounds to recorded cuers begin at 6:30 p.m. Mainstream square dance with Plus calls and round dance cues between tips begin at 7 p.m., ending 9 p.m. Those attending are invited to bring food and snacks for all to enjoy at intermission.

On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
