The Delta Hubwheelers Square Dance Club has scheduled upcoming dances on Saturday nights, Sept. 3 and 17, in the aerobics room at Bill Heddles Recreation Center, 531 N. Palmer Street, Delta.
Both will be regular dances; however, there is a back-to-school theme for the Sept. 3 dance, with 1950s dress encouraged.
Club caller is Naaman Moorehouse. All dances are Mainstream with Plus tips. Round dances are to recordings and include beginner and advanced levels. Potluck dinners start at 6 p.m., when scheduled. Prerounds to recorded cuers begin at 6:30 p.m. Mainstream square dance with Plus calls and round dance cues between tips begin at 7 p.m., ending at 9 p.m. New classes are being planned and will be announced soon.

On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
