Steven Ray Grier died of pneumonia April 3, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. He was 67.
He was born in Martinez, Calif., Dec. 19, 1948.
Mr. Grier attended day programs in the Montrose, Delta and Cortez areas.
He enjoyed being around the staff and his friends, collecting sticks and listening to country music.
He is survived by a sister, Janet; guardians, Janine (Jerry) Spor of Norwood; and host home providers, Joe (Sharma) Gray and their children Aaron, Ashley and Dakota of Cortez and Bill (Mary) Hensley and their daughter Krystal of Montrose.
Mr. Grier was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
A private service will be held at the home of Janine and Jerry Spor after cremation.
