Stop by AppleFest booth to register for Trail Life USA

By Press Release

Join Trail Life by visiting the Troop 4316 AppleFest booth Oct. 7 and 8. Information, meeting schedules and a list of activities will be available at the booth. Trail Life meets on Thursdays at least twice a month with other special meetings and events every month.

Trail Life is open to boys ages 5-18 and is sponsored by Grand Mesa Southern Baptist Church in Cedaredge. Trail Life USA is a national Christian-based group that was formed in 2013. Its goals are to develop young men through adventure, character and leadership.

The motto "Walk Worthy" comes from Colossians 1:10: "Walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him." Adult leadership encourages dads to stay active with their sons and to develop lasting relationships together as they participate in the outdoor activities, special events and meetings.

The first year consisted of troop meetings, fundraisers, Christmas shoebox mission, several hikes, a campout and winter snow activities. The fall schedule includes hikes, fundraisers, star study, barbecues, first aid training, campfires, s'mores, a pizza party, guest appearances, crafts and winter activities.

Yearly dues are $26 per year and uniforms are available, in addition to badges, ranks and Colorado Trail Life activities with other troops. Stop by the booth at AppleFest or call 970-640-6520 for more information.
