Submissions by Olathe and Delta County area students for a contest to design a logo for The Nature Connection are now being accepted. The Nature Connection is a newly-created hub for outdoor education for Delta County and Olathe. Funding comes from a Great Outdoors Colorado Inspire planning grant. The Nature Connection will work in tandem with public and private partners to offer quality outdoor experiences for area youth, according to a press release.
The logo must include the name "The Nature Connection." Design must have the capability of being digitally reproduced. Working with school technology and art teachers on the design is encouraged. The winning logo will grace TNC's web page, currently under construction, and be displayed at the facility on Bulldog Street and on all communications.
Creator of the winning design will be awarded a $200 prize. Deadline for submission is Jan. 1 and should include the artist's name, age, address, email, phone number and parental permission for a publicity photo. For details, or to submit a design, contact Anita Evans at firstname.lastname@example.org.
