Delta High School would like to thank all those who have responded to support us through the recent tragedies that have so deeply impacted the students, staff and families of our beloved school. This support has come to us in so many ways and from so many people we feel it is important to express our gratitude and be sure that we all recognize that we are truly a part of an amazing community.
Local pastors/clergy, alumni and residents responded immediately by providing their time to individually connect with students and offer themselves as a trusted adult to listen to the heartache our students are experiencing. They sent food, flowers and notes of love and encouragement that impacted our entire Panther Family. Area schools from our local district and schools from our neighboring districts of Mesa and Montrose counties have reached out to us and offered support. Our local police and sheriff departments both had officers and deputies on hand to help us that day, and regularly for the weeks following. The Center for Mental Health has volunteered countless hours and resources sending numerous counselors to work with our students and staff. District 50-J administration has provided tremendous support and care throughout the past weeks. Community is vital in the process of educating our young people, and the love and care this community continues to pour out to Delta High School is appreciated beyond measure.
