Do you care for a loved one with dementia? If so, you are not alone! Delta County Senior Resource Council and Aging and Disability Resources for Colorado, sponsored by Region 10, offer support groups for caregivers. These groups are an opportunity to learn about resources and talk with others who face similar issues.
Support groups meet in all three areas of the county. In the North Fork, meetings are held at the Hotchkiss Town Hall at 1:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month. Meetings are held at the Cedaredge Senior Center at 1:30 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month. On the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, the support group meets at Westminster Hall, 4th and Meeker in Delta, at 1:30 p.m.
The meetings are facilitated by Dr. Jess Deegan, who is a caregiver himself.
