Love was in the air on Feb. 12, as the Delta Senior Center honored Dennis and Alietta Valdovinos as valentine sweethearts during the midday meal gathering.
The Valdovinoses have been married for 50 years and have lived in Delta for 37 years. They have three children and several grandchildren.
They have been patrons at the senior center for many years, and are well loved by the senior center "family." For the honor, they received corsages and several free meal tickets to use for future lunches at the DSC.
Dennis is a retired land surveyor for the U.S. Forest Service and previously was a commissioned officer in the Coast & Geodetic Survey. Alietta was a homemaker who also worked in the adult care field, and was a volunteer for organizations.
The Delta Senior Center is proud to recognize the Valdovinoses as this year's sweethearts couple.
