Teresa Ann Knight of Whitewater died at her home Aug. 24, 2016. She was 54.
She was born in Delta Dec. 1, 1961, and grew up on the family ranch near Needle Rock in Crawford. She attended school in Crawford through the eighth grade and graduated from Paonia High School. She worked at several banks in the area.
In 1990, she married Greg Knight, and they moved to Grand Junction. She worked at St. Mary's.
She enjoyed working in her home and yard, spending time at the Black Mesa cabin with family and friends, fishing, craft activities including scrapbooking and sewing, the Broncos and playing the slots.
She is survived by her parents, Gene and Lorraine Curtis of Crawford; her husband, Greg Knight of Whitewater; one son, Ted (Lena) Karp of Jacksonville, N.C.; daughter, Brittney McElley of Grand Junction; brother, Rick (Connie) Curtis of Crawford; two sisters, Paula Olsen of Paonia and Glenda Curtis of Nashville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren, Faythe, Lance and Logan Karp, and Colter and Easton McElley.
A memorial service was held Aug. 30 at Crawford United Methodist Church, followed by inurnment at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Crawford.
Memorial donations may be made to the NRA or the American Cancer Society.
