Terri Wyley, a longtime Delta resident, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at her home in Greeley. She was 63.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, Nov. 11, at 1 p.m. at Delta Christian Church.
Born on Aug. 4, 1953, to Earl and Evelyn (Venable) Bonine, she spent her childhood in South Dakota, Colorado and Southern California. She attended high school and college in California.
In December 1971, she married Rodney Duncan. They had three sons, James, Eric and Robert Duncan. Rodney preceded her in death in 1980, while they were living in Paonia.
In 1982, she married Scott Wyley and had one son, Kevin Wyley. In 1984, she joined her father, Earl, as a partner in Bonine Construction and later became an active member of the Women in Construction group based in Grand Junction.
In 2002, Mrs. Wyley was diagnosed with breast cancer. After treatments, the cancer went into remission which gave her 13 more years with her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time with family and being outdoors. She was a member of a quilting club in Hotchkiss.
Mrs. Wyley is survived by her father, Earl Bonine of Delta; her husband, Scott Wyley of Greeley; three sons, James Duncan of Grand Junction, Eric Duncan of Delta and Kevin Wyley of Yukon, Okla.; two brothers, David Bonine of Delta and Glen Bonine of Rock Springs, Wyo.; two sisters, Cindy Bonine of Monroe, Ga., and Gail Webb of Grand Junction; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Bonine; her first husband, Rodney Duncan; and one son, Robert Duncan.
