The deliberate corruption of climate science

By William H. Snyer

Dear Editor:

What a travesty that the public at large has been deceived, yes deceived beyond comprehension by masterful propaganda. Unfortunately, this has been essentially a worldwide scheme backed by huge monetary gifts and orchestrated by a very successful but small number of politicians and scientists.

Just follow the money and you will begin to understand the scenario that was originally hyped as "global warming" which has been changed to the present "climate change" and/or "climate disruption." The change in naming has been largely due to the fact there has been very little temperature change in the last two decades.

Most of the public in the United States is tired of the seemingly endless effort to blame weather patterns on man and his use of fossil fuels. Many true scientists are well aware of the tremendous deception in progress and have vainly tried to broadcast the truth through scientific articles, books and other methods. Some of these scientists have been fired and have met with a well-planned but heinous smear campaign. Our left leaning news media have followed suit, right down the line with this terrible smear effort and deception.

Please note the quoted title, "The Deliberate Corruption Of Climate Science." This is the title of a book authored by Dr. Tim Ball. By permission the following two paragraphs are a direct quote from the preface of Dr. Ball's book which was published in 2014:

"I've studied climate both scientifically and academically for over 40 years after spending eight years studying meteorology and observing weather as an aircrew and operations officer in the Canadian Air Force. When I began the academic portion of my career, global cooling was the concern, but it was not a major social theme. During the 1980s the concern switched to global warming which became a major political, social and economic issue.

I watched my chosen discipline -- climatology -- get hijacked and exploited in service of a political agenda, watched people who knew little or nothing enter the fray and watched scientists become involved for political or funding reasons -- willing to corrupt the science, or, at least, ignore what was really going on. The tale is more than a sad story because it set climatology back thirty years and damaged the credibility of science in general."

My hope is that the author of the letter to the editor entitled "Climate change must be taken seriously" and many other take the time to read the many excellent books that tell the truth on this subject. It is very important that this deception be acknowledged for what it is -- fiction.
