Longtime Gunnison resident Thelma Prosser died April 4, 2016, at Senior Care Center in Gunnison. She was 83.
Services will be held Saturday, April 23, at 1 p.m. at the Fred Field Heritage Center at the Gunnison Fairgrounds.
Thelma Rae Meredith was born in Sargents, Dec. 26, 1932, to Lawrence and Ruby (Tipton) Meredith. She spent her childhood in Gunnison and graduated from Gunnison High School.
On Dec. 24, 1950, she married Ernest Prosser in Taos, N.M.
Mrs. Prosser enjoyed crocheting, reading, camping, playing cards and bingo.
She is survived by her son, Rick (Cynthia) Prosser of Marysville, Wash.; her daughters, Jeannie (Jesse) Stone and Debbie (Allen) Setzer, all of Gunnison; her sister, Pearl Stimac of Paonia; five grandchildren, Cody (Stacy) Setzer, Misty (Eddie) Marlow, Jessica (Dillon) Waggoner, Jake (Sarah) Stone and Courtney Prosser; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; and three brothers, Jim, Kenny and Wayne "Red" Meredith.

At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
