Work on the Town of Paonia Third Street waterline project is scheduled to begin Monday, May 1. The three-phase project involves replacing approximately 5,800 feet of potable waterline along Third Street between Grand Avenue and the railroad crossing between Oak and Delta avenues; from the tracks east to Lamborn Avenue and south to Second Street; and on Box Elder between Second and Fourth streets.
Public works director Travis Loberg said construction will begin on the section located on Third Street between the train tracks and Lamborn Avenue and on Second Street. Once complete, work will move to the Box Elder section, with the section from Grand Avenue to the tracks being completed last.
While water services will continue, there may be days where some customers are without water for a few hours to allow for tie-in and connections to the new service lines, said Loberg.
