Thomas P. Sabo of Delta died Nov. 4, 2017. He was 73.
He was born June 26, 1944, in Anaconda, Mont.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta.
Mr. Sabo was a Vietnam veteran, serving as a crew chief in the Air Force. His career took him throughout the U.S.
He is survived by his wife, Salie; brother, Richard (Del) Sabo of Cañon City; children, Michelle Sabo-Parker, Greg (Brandy) Sabo and Jessica Baker; and nine grandchildren, Anthony Parker, Andrew Parker, Aden Parker, Aubrianna Parker, Gina Sabo, Donovan Sabo, Jacob Sabo, Gaige Sabo and Addison Sabo.
Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory is handling the arrangements.
On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
