Cedaredge town officials report there will be an official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new sewer plant on June 16 at 2 p.m.

At its regular monthly work session on May 12, the Cedaredge Town Board discussed several items including the following ones:

• Staff recommended not filing for a water right application on the new sewer plant's outflow.

• Standing trustee committee assignments will be handed out by Mayor Gene Welch at the May 19 regular meeting.

• A short report on a county master plan update process was given by trustee Ray Hanson.

• The best candidate for taking over management and operations of the town's restaurant enterprise won't be able to start until "July at the earliest," reported Larry Murphy, golf pro. The town will operate the restaurant until a permanent manager can be found.
