Cherry Creek Radio and Alpine Bank are teaming up to sponsor the 2016 toy drive to benefit The PIC Place for Montrose and Delta counties. Please consider donating unwrapped toys for girls and boys from ages newborn to 12 years of age. Donations may be dropped off at the Alpine Bank in Delta, 1660 Highway 92, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon.
Toy donations will be collected until Friday, Dec. 16, to allow for time to sort the gifts to families in need.
The PIC (Partners in Integrated Care) Place is a collaborative effort of Community Dental Clinic and its partners, Delta-Montrose Technical College and the Center for Mental Health. Through partnerships, a single point of delivery allows low-income and indigent individuals to receive comprehensive, fully-integrated primary care, preventive and restorative dental, and behavioral health services.
On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
