Dani Tupper's "Agony of Defeat"

Dani Tupper, a Delta artist and instructor, has been awarded master signature membership in the Western Colorado Watercolor Society (WCWS). This honor is bestowed upon artists who have had their work accepted in at least 10 juried WCWS national exhibitions.

Tupper was honored at an opening reception for Rockies West National 2017, WCWS's 25th national show. Top artists from 23 different states are represented in this year's exhibit, which is displayed at the Art Center in Grand Junction until April 1.

In addition to Tupper's work, the show features watermedia by Mary Bollig and Wanda Brunemeier of Delta, Betty McKinney of Crawford and Roger Milway of Cedaredge.

Brunemeier, Bollig and McKinney are all students of Tupper, although the pieces were done outside of class.

Brunemeier and Bollick have also attained signature membership in WCWS, having been accepted in three national shows. They are allowed to put WCWS under their signature on their paintings.
