Uetiva Zoe Pitt of Fort Morgan died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, at Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan. She was 81.
She was born in Hutchinson, Kan., Aug. 17, 1934, to Walter and Jessie Ratzloff.
She married William Pitt on Nov. 25, 1972, in Denver. They lived in LaSalle and Platteville until 1988 when they moved to the Hotchkiss and Paonia area where they began their own business. She retired in 2006 and moved to Weldona in 2007.
Mrs. Pitt attended First Baptist Church in Fort Morgan. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, the outdoors, cooking, canning, sewing, Rockies baseball, taking care of people and tending her flower and vegetable gardens.
She is survived by a son, Russel Nichols; a daughter, Sheryl (Dale) Johnston, all of Fort Collins; two stepdaughters, Lori (Casey) Kinnison and Debra (Scott) Welsch, both of Fort Morgan; a sister, Helen Jones of Austin, Texas; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 2013; her brothers, Virgil, Lester and Ronald Ratzloff; and her sisters, Maxine, Joyce and Carolyn.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 21, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Heer Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Avenue, Fort Morgan. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 22, at First Baptist Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.

At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
