The Delta 4-H County Council meeting was held on July 10, at the Maloney House in Hotchkiss. The following was discussed:
As we approach the fair season, it has been noted by club leaders and our extension office that some members are missing critical information related to their fair entries. There is a concern that this is due to a lack of information because of a problem with meeting attendance.
The Delta County Council strongly urges all 4-H members to attend their club meetings and send their representatives to the County Council meetings, as mandated by the 4-H rules.
In addition to building a stronger 4-H community, we hope to help close the loop of communication so that all 4-H members can have a successful fair.
4-H'ers, as you work toward record book completion, remember that parents and club leaders can be good resources for help.
I personally wish each Delta 4-H member a healthy, happy, and successful fair week!
Delta County, as always, thank you for your ongoing support. You are appreciated.

Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
