The drive through that serves the Grand Junction VA Medical Center's main lobby entrance will be closed during the next 90 days for a security upgrade. Patients who have driven themselves to the facility's emergency room and after-hour visitors are asked to use caution when entering the building through the main entrance.
Veterans who are self-reporting to the facility's emergency room on weekends and during hours of darkness are encouraged to call the duty desk at 970-263-2800, ext. 2121 to inform staff of their arrival before leaving their car as the view of the parking lot is obscured by the construction.
Anyone with an illness or injury that threatens life, limb or eyesight should call 911.
