Virginia Ann Shaw-Taylor died suddenly Nov. 15, 2016, in Sun City West, Ariz. She was 81.
She was born in Denver Nov. 24, 1934, to E. Otto Shaw and Adah Sweeney. She grew up in Lakewood and lived in Arvada for many years. For most of the last 15 years, Virginia and her husband, Graham Taylor, spent summers in Cedaredge and winters in Arizona.
A memorial will be held Feb. 18 at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Surprise, Ariz., led by Rev. Terry Simms.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
