Please vote no on Ballot Issue #5 ... the property tax raise for more money for ambulance services. The mayor or board of Orchard City may be for the increase (letter from Mayor Ken Volgamore published Oct. 26), but no one I know in the senior center here wants it and can't afford it on Social Security that has not been raised in two years ... and this year only .02 percent. My family is still paying off the huge fee charged by the Delta County Ambulance District.
At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
