Wanda Jean Gibson of Green River, Wyo., died Oct. 5, 2017, at her home. She was 62.
A birthday memorial will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Green River Assembly of God. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at Cedaredge Cemetery.
Wanda Jean Bowden was born on Oct. 12, 1954, to Loyd and Frances (Webster) Bowden. She spent her childhood in Mesa County and attended school in Grand Junction. She later received her medical assistant certificate in phlebotomy.
She was married in February 1973 in Phoenix, Ariz., and they later divorced.
Mrs. Gibson resided in Green River, Wyo., for the past 24 years after moving from Richmond, Cali. She was a member of the Green River Assembly of God.
She enjoyed spending time with her cats and family, planting flowers, helping her neighbors, and listening to the wind through her wind chimes. She had a strong faith and enjoyed sharing her faith with others.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Frances and Marvin Sreaves; a brother, Howard Herbert of Plymouth, Wash.; a sister, Linda (David) Buller of Green River, Wyo.; two nephews, Tim and Amos Buller; a niece, Leora Kraft; 13 great-nieces and nephews; three great-great-nephews; and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Loyd Bowden.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
