At the Jan. 10 meeting of the We Are Referrals group, Brad Davis of Davis Clothing was awarded $1,000 toward restoration of his building, which was damaged by a hit and run RV on Thanksgiving Day.
We Are Referrals group donates its membership fee proceeds annually to a charitable group or cause and with this being the first full year since the group was formed, the Davis Clothing store was unanimously selected as the recipient of the proceeds.
The mission of We Are Referrals group is helping businesses grow -- one referral at a time. Membership is limited to one type of professional or industry with that representative committed to referring and promoting other businesses in the group. The WAR group meets every Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. at 300 Stafford Lane, Suite 3021. Presentations, training and networking are the focus of each one-hour meeting. On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
