Storytime for Babies, Tots and Preschoolers at the Cedaredge Library. Thursdays starting at 10:30 a.m. Parents and tots are invited to participate in a reading time together.
Maker Space: Little Picassos. This month the Cedaredge branch is a place for you to be a little Picasso! There will be canvas and paints and a completed painting for you to replicate with an easy guide. One canvas board per person and only one or two at a time to paint. You may call to reserve a time if you wish. This will be open all days for the month of January or until the boards run out!
Early Release Day Movie Matinee at the Cedaredge Public Library. A hit animated movie about the popular small, yellow, cylindrical creatures who have one or two eyes. You can't see this funny movie too many times. All ages invited. Under 7 must have an adult in the building. Treats included! Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 1:30 p.m.
Crafts Group. Crafters meet each Tuesday at 10 a.m. to share ideas and show and tell. Contact the library at 399-7674 for details.
Tech Soup Saturday. Bring your devices and your questions. Our expert "techies" will do their best to answer your questions. Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Valentine's Day Crafts. We love to get creative. Come to the library to make Valentine's Day cards and other crafts. Friday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m.
Computer Tutor. Librarians will be available to help you with questions and problems about computers or mobile devices. Just drop in during regular library hours or call ahead for a specific time. Contact the library at 399-7783 for details.

Free Heart Health Screenings. Free heart health screenings are being offered at the Delta Library every Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Rhythm Band Class. Learners will experience basic rhythm patterns, including counterpoint and syncopation, musical language and terms, and how to play a variety of rhythm instruments. Grade level: 3-5. Tuesdays in January at 4 p.m.
Friends of the Delta Library Meeting. Public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 5:30 p.m.
Book Sale. The Friends of the Delta Library will have a book sale in or outside of the Delta Library every other month on the second Thursday of the month. Your donations of gently used good quality books will help us earn money for the Delta Library. Call the Delta Library at 874-9630 for more information. Next sale is Thursday, Jan. 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Living Within Our Means. Bob Aubery will teach finance classes at the Delta Library. This is a great opportunity for community members to learn about budgeting, debt reduction and sound financial decision making. The class is 10 weeks, concluding on Saturday, March 29. Seed Sorting Party. Calling all volunteers, seed library supporters, and seed sorting enthusiasts. Come help the seed library get ready for the 2016 spring season. We need your help sorting, organizing and labeling seeds for this coming gardening season. Join us at the Hotchkiss Memorial Hall for an evening of seed organizing, good company and tasty treats. On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
