Cedaredge

Storytimes. Storytimes for babies, tots and preschoolers are Thursdays starting at 10:30 a.m. June theme: Bugs and blooms.

Summer Reading: How Pictures TALK! Week three of children's summer reading will feature How Pictures TALK!, an exploration of graphic design concepts for children. Fun activities, Q&A and a mix and match challenge. Thursday, June 22, at 2 p.m.

Teen Summer Reading. Week three of the teen program in Cedaredge will feature architecture kits with a local builder. Fun activities, a prize drawing, free food and a chance to win a drone! Friday, June 23, at 2 p.m.

Summer Reading: Be a Transformer! Children will participate in 90-second invention challenges. They will work in groups with materials like modeling dough, Lego blocks, paper, tape, straws, craft sticks, pennies and water. There will be a demonstration on how to make air cannons and other fun ideas! Thursday, June 29, at 2 p.m.

Teen Summer Reading. Week four of the teen program in Cedaredge will feature balloon structures. Fun activities, a prize drawing, free food and a chance to win a drone! Friday, June 30, at 2 p.m.

Summer Storytimes. June and July themes will include robots, building with food, build-a-fort, reduce/reuse/recycle, tools are cool, outdoor build-off, building around the world and puzzles. Every Thursday at 10:30 a.m.

Summer Maker Space. "Build a Better World" by trying your hand at the complete architectural design kit to make a better building! This will be available all summer long during library hours to go with our theme for summer reading.

Crafts Group. Crafters meet each Tuesday at 10 a.m. to share ideas and show and tell. Contact the library at 399-7674 for details.

Tech Soup Saturday. Bring your devices and your questions. Our expert "techies" will do their best to answer your questions. Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Who's Who in Whoville? This genealogy group meets at the Cedaredge Library the first Friday of every month at 10:30 a.m.

Dynamic presenters, real life stories, fun and engaging activities, and preparing (and eating!) delicious food will be the theme of Crawford Library's teen summer reading program. Weekly prizes, comic book giveaways and a grand prize drawing for a drone! Every Thursday at 2 p.m.

Friends of the Delta Library Meeting. The Delta friends meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, June 21, at 3 p.m.

Magic the Gathering. Teens can come to the library to play and trade cards for Magic the Gathering! Tournaments every first Saturday at 10 a.m.

Talk & Tangle Yarn. This is a group of knit and crochet enthusiasts who get together to talk and work on their individual projects. Anyone is welcome to join. Mondays starting at 5:30 p.m.

Little Wiggles. Children ages 2-8 are invited to Paonia Library to hula-hoop, dance, wiggle, do yoga and other creative movement for an hour each week in June. Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Final Friday Art Walk. The gallery at the Paonia Library will host an art opening featuring seven local artists from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 30.

BeyBlade Tournaments. Come to the Paonia Library to play BeyBlades! Games and snacks provided. Meets the third Thursday of every month.

Tech Café. Paonia Library will have an open Tech Café in the community room for all ages and skill levels to seek tech assistance. Every Thursday at 2 p.m.

Literacy Programs

High School Equivalency. For information on high school equivalency classes or HISET testing, please contact Gail Srebnik at 399-7670 or gsrebnik@deltalibraries.org.

Distance Learning Program. Do you need your high school equivalency but are unable to attend our classes? Delta County Libraries now has a distance learning program that offers participants the ability to work from home with an online program to prepare for the test. Contact Ann Stewart at astewart@deltalibraries.org for more information.
