Cedaredge

Storytimes. Storytimes for babies, tots and preschoolers are Thursdays starting at 10:30 a.m. Contact the library at 399-7674 for details.

Cedaredge Friends Meeting. Speaker presentation at 2 p.m. followed by refreshments with the business meeting to follow. Thursday, Nov. 10.

Teen Scene Cooking Class. This monthly class will teach you how to make some yummy food just in time for Thanksgiving. Never made a food dish before? Don't worry this class is just for you! Grades 6-12 are welcome to attend. Friday, Nov. 18, at 4 p.m.

November Scavenger Hunt. Thanksgiving treasure hunt! Come pick up a scavenger sheet, fill it out while finding the items in the library and get a small prize! All month during regular library hours.

November Maker Space. Altered domino magnet making. Create a one-of-a-kind magnet! Using sharpies you can make a beautiful magnet for yourself or as a gift. Materials provided. One per person please. All month during regular library hours.

Crafts Group. Crafters meet each Tuesday at 10 a.m. to share ideas and show and tell. Contact the library at 399-7674 for details.

Tech Soup Saturday. Bring your devices and your questions. Our expert "techies" will do their best to answer your questions. Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Aloha, Hawaii! Are you experiencing the cold weather blues? Join Jan the librarian for a slide show presentation about Hawaii. Thursday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m.

Scrapbooking. Bring your latest project and join others in a fun and creative day; we share materials, tools and ideas! Also, bring something to snack on for everyone. Monday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m.

Nuts for Turkeys. Make a turkey decoration from leaves, nuts and other materials. Cute for party favors or just to display in the house for Thanksgiving! Thursday, Nov. 17, at 3 p.m.

Computer Tutor. Librarians will be available to help you with questions and problems about computers or mobile devices. Just drop in during regular library hours or call ahead for a specific time. Contact the library at 399-7783 for details.

Delta

Earth Beneath Our Feet. Have you ever wondered about the geology in the vicinity of Delta? Join Dr. Dave Noe for a tour of the surrounding mesas, 'dobies and uplifts, and the results of many years of geologic mapping by the Colorado Geologic Survey. In this 90-minute lecture, we'll learn about the rocks and sediments that make up this landscape, and the geologic process that continues to shape it. In addition, Dr. Noe will reveal how you can get your own copies of these colorful and highly detailed geologic maps. Thursday, Nov. 3, at 5 p.m.

Delta Friends of the Library Meeting. Public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 5:30 p.m.

Delta Book Club and Potluck. Join the Delta Book Club and bring a dish to share! This gathering of the Delta Book Club will be discussing "When She Woke" by Hillary Jordan. We will also be gathering information about books we would like to read and discuss next year. Saturday, Nov. 12, at noon.

Teen Study Hall. Teen participants will learn study techniques to help them get ready for semester finals. This program will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17. Snacks will be provided.

Operation Troop Bounty. Help support our troops! During the month of November, bring items for donation to the Delta Library to be sent to our troops. Travel size toiletries, small non-perishable food items, books and many more items will be accepted. For a full list of items contact the Delta Library at 874-9630.

Kids' Craft Day. Stop by the Delta Library between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. every third Saturday through May and get crafty. November's theme: Thanksgiving!

Free Heart Health Screenings. There will be no screenings in November or December.

Magic the Gathering. Teens can come to the library to play and trade cards for Magic the Gathering! Tournaments every first Saturday at 10 a.m.

Talk & Tangle Yarn. This is a group of knit and crochet enthusiasts who get together to talk and work on their individual projects. Anyone is welcome to join. Mondays starting at 5:30 p.m.

Hotchkiss

Seed Enthusiasts Unite. Are you a gardener? A seed saver? A library supporter? Come to the Hotchkiss Library to share your seeds, enjoy good company, and get the seed library ready for next spring. Contact the Hotchkiss Library at 399-7781 for details. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 5 p.m.

Hotchkiss Book Club. This book club will meet the third Thursday of every month in the Addams Room of Memorial Hall and is for adults. November's book club will discuss "A Beekeeper's Apprentice: or, On the Segregation of the Queen," a Mary Russell novel by Laurie R. King. Thursday, Nov. 17, at 3 p.m.

Master Builder Club. Explore your creativity as a master builder with Legos. Join us for a monthly design themes and free building time. All ages welcome; children under 7 should bring an adult. Meets the first Tuesday of every month October through April.

Tech Help. Librarians will be available to help you with questions and problems about computers or mobile devices. Tuesday-Thursday by appointment.

Paonia

Teen Book Club. This book club will meet once per month November-January. November's meeting will discuss "Walden" by Henry David Thoreau. This book club is for ages 15+ and will meet on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 4 p.m.

Ultimate Bey Blade Tournament. Snacks provided. Thursday, Nov. 17, at 4 p.m.

Drive By Film School. Learn to take a movie from concept to reality with this weekly class. Sign up now by calling Paonia Library at 970-399-7879. Day and time TBD.

High School Equivalency Classes. Hotchkiss location meets at 397 Bulldog Street on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Call Julee at 970-201-8561 for information. Delta location meets at 360 E. 8th Street Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call Beth at 970-209-9643 for information.

Veterans Day. Delta County Libraries will be closed on Friday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day.
