Storytimes. Storytimes for babies, tots and preschoolers are Thursdays starting at 10:30 a.m. Contact the library at 399-7674 for details.
Fairy and Elf House Workshop. Join us in a magical, family-friendly workshop where we use our imagination and create fairy and elf houses out of natural materials. Bring your own natural materials as well as work with some we have collected. All ages welcome. Space is limited to 10 people. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 1 p.m.
Cedaredge Friends Meeting. Speaker presentation at 2 p.m. followed by refreshments with the business meeting to follow. Thursday, Oct. 13.
Deserts to Glaciers to Jungles...Exploring the Beauty of Chile and Argentina. The Friends of the Cedaredge Library invite the public to a travel adventure at the Stolte Shed in Cedaredge. World travelers Marv and Jude Kieca will regale the audience with pictures, stories and information on their recent trip. Refreshments will be served. Thursday, Oct. 13. Doors open at 6:30.
Internet Search Basics. Learn the basics of internet searching in this hands-on class that is geared directly for your skill level. Work with Google, YouTube, and Facebook to find things that are important to you! Open to all. Limited to 10. Friday, Oct. 14, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
October Scavenger Hunt: Books and Things. Grab a pencil and a map and get hunting! Find the things listed on the sheet and get a small prize. The month of October during library hours.
October Maker Space: Bean Painting. Using nature's handiwork you can design a collage using simple peas and beans to create a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork. All month long during regular library hours.
Crafts Group. Crafters meet each Tuesday at 10 a.m. to share ideas and show and tell. Contact the library at 399-7674 for details.
Tech Soup Saturday. Bring your devices and your questions. Our expert "techies" will do their best to answer your questions. Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Patron Appreciation Day. Stop in for some refreshments as the Crawford Library Staff and Friends of the Crawford Library thank you for your continued support. Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Crawford Cookbook Club. Eat, experiment and enjoy. Every month is a different theme. Call the Crawford Library at 399-7783 for details. Meets the second Thursday of every month. October's theme: Italian.
Pumpkin Decorating Party. Bring your own pumpkin; we'll supply paints and embellishments so you can make it funny, spooky, silly or fancy. Saturday, Oct. 29, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Teen Study Hall. Get organized! Bring in your syllabus, planner, notebooks and folders! Learn organizational techniques that will help you succeed this school year. Snacks will be provided. Thursday, Oct. 13, from 3 to 4 p.m.
Health Equity Learning Series. The Delta Library has partnered with Western Colorado Area Health Education Center and the Colorado Trust to host this health equity learning series. The first presentation in this series will focus on migrant workers and homelessness, health outcomes and more as they relate to health equity. Deliana Garcia, MA, of the Migrant Clinicians Network in Austin, Texas, is the speaker. Space is limited. Thursday, Oct. 13, 6 to 8 p.m.
Delta Book Club. This month's book is "You Know When the Men Are Gone" by Siobhan Fallon. Saturday, Oct. 15, at 1 p.m.
Free Heart Health Screenings. If you live in Delta County, and are un- or underinsured, you qualify! Because of the nature of the tests, please try to fast for at least two hours prior to the screening and be sure to drink plenty of water. For more information see the calendar at www.delta

Magic the Gathering. Teens can come to the library to play and trade cards for Magic the Gathering! Tournaments every first Saturday at 10 a.m.
Talk & Tangle Yarn. This is a group of knit and crochet enthusiasts who get together to talk and work on their individual projects. Anyone is welcome to join. Mondays starting at 5:30 p.m.

Home School Day. Come to the Hotchkiss Library for an open house of library resources all day. Presentations on homeschooling resources for parents and students will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 13.
Fun with Leaves. Fun, creative class for kids! Make colorful suncatchers with real leaves. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 4 p.m.
Hotchkiss Book Club. This book club will meet the third Thursday of every month in the Addams Room of Memorial Hall and is for adults. October's book club will discuss "Color: A Natural History of the Palette" by Victoria Finlay. Thursday, Oct. 20, at 3 p.m.
Master Builder Club. Explore your creativity as a master builder with Legos. Join us for a monthly design themes and free building time. All ages welcome; children under 7 should bring an adult. Meets the first Tuesday of every month October through April.

Knit and Crochet Day. Do you knit or crochet? Join others who share your interest for a fun, creative gathering. Saturday, Oct. 15, at noon.
Halloween Costume Making. How to build your own superhero helmet or mask! Teens and children are welcome to attend. Design, construct and add finishing details to a superhero mask or helmet. This class will have three sessions: Thursday, Oct. 27, 3:30 to 5 p.m. for direct instruction; Friday, Oct. 28, 3:30 to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 29, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for independent work time.

Indie Author Day. Delta County Libraries will celebrate Indie Author Day with a display in each library featuring published local authors starting Oct. 8 and running through the end of October.
