October Maker Space: Bean Painting. Using nature's handiwork you can design a collage using simple peas and beans to create a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork. All month long during regular library hours.

Earth Beneath Our Feet. Have you ever wondered about the geology in the vicinity of Delta? Join Dr. Dave Noe for a tour of the surrounding mesas, 'dobies and uplifts, and the results of many years of geologic mapping by the Colorado Geologic Survey. In this 90-minute lecture, we'll learn about the rocks and sediments that make up this landscape, and the geologic process that continues to shape it. In addition, Dr. Noe will reveal how you can get your own copies of these colorful and highly detailed geologic maps. Thursday, Nov. 3, at 5 p.m.

Operation Troop Bounty. Help support our troops! During the month of November, bring items for donation to the Delta Library to be sent to our troops. Kids' Craft Day. Stop by the Delta Library between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. every third Saturday through May and get crafty.
Free Heart Health Screenings. There will be no screenings in November or December.
Magic the Gathering. Teens can come to the library to play and trade cards for Magic the Gathering! Tournaments every first Saturday at 10 a.m.
Talk & Tangle Yarn. This is a group of knit and crochet enthusiasts who get together to talk and work on their individual projects. Anyone is welcome to join. Mondays starting at 5:30 p.m.

Dying Matters. Presenter Carrie Lerner of Bird Song Crossings will introduce the topics of home funerals and green burials. She will discuss living wills and will provide a living will, the five wishes, available for participants to fill out or take home. Finally, Lerner will discuss the creation of a community care circle that will support community members who are facing and dealing with death. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 6 p.m.
Internet 101. This class will focus on teaching participants how to use the general internet through a browser. It will cover choosing and using a browser, rules of engagement and webmail and email attachments. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 4 p.m.
Halloween Costume Making. How to build your own superhero helmet or mask! Teens and children are welcome to attend. Design, construct and add finishing details to a superhero mask or helmet. This class will have three sessions: Thursday, Oct. 27, 3:30 to 5 p.m. for direct instruction; Friday, Oct. 28, 3:30 to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 29, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for independent work time.
Teen Book Club. This book club will meet once per month November-January. November's meeting will discuss "Walden" by Henry David Thoreau. This book club is for ages 15+ and will meet on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 4 p.m.
