What's your take on daylight saving?

What's your position on Daylight Saving Time? If you are one of the many people whose internal clock still hasn't caught up with the twice yearly time change, an item from the Cedaredge Town Board's March agenda will come of some interest.
A draft letter was presented to the trustees for consideration on the DST issue. Prepared ahead of time for town board approval at the request of a government trade group, it included edits for the trustees to choose between "favorable or unfavorable" based on the board's opinion of the DST regimen.
The intent was that the letter might be adopted in either form (pro or con) and then sent to the appropriate state senator and representative.
The proposed position statement letter on DST read as follows:
"March 16, 2017
Regarding: Daylight Savings Time.
The Board of Trustees are requesting that the State Legislature [eliminate or support] Daylight Savings Time. The Board of Trustees have determined that the purpose of Daylight Savings Time is [outdated or perfect] in our agricultural community. Changing the clock twice a year has [cost or not cost] the town money and/or resources.
Our beautiful small town has a noon whistle managed by a volunteer fire department and they [hate or love] the process of changing the noon whistle twice a year.
Anyone with a "no opinion" view of the DST issue will find themselves in agreement with the Cedaredge Town Board which declined to take an official position.
