Who stole my autumn friends?

Who stole my autumn friends from downtown Cedaredge? Let me guess!
Let me get this straight, I made 20 scarecrows, spent three days putting them together, giving each a lot of thought and time, making each one pretty specific to where they were placed, the cost of around $20 in straw, misc., not counting what the Cedaredge Methodist Thrift Shop and the Shelter Shoppe donated in clothes, my guess at least $100 and someone took them! They were only taken down on Main Street. It is not like people in this town didn't know who made them. I was approached time and time again over the past few weeks and asked if I was going to make them again this year, everyone stating, "We love them." So I felt a little pressured to do it. Again it took me three days! I really resent those who took them down. Everyone knew who made them, and if SOMEONE didn't want them up, they could have called me and asked me to come and get them or they could have dropped them off here. A simple phone call from the powers that be could have resolved the issue easily. I wouldn't have been happy, but at least they wouldn't have ended up in the trash. I am guessing that is where they are.
I am pretty sure I know who took them down. I had written on the back of each of them that they would be picked up and when, so the powers that be would know they were not responsible for taking them down. I intended to go and fix them on Tuesday morning, fluff them and straighten them up, so they didn't look sloppy. I didn't put them on any bench downtown as not to use the benches that people needed to use during AppleFest, I was very careful about that! So to my surprise they were gone! I want them back! It took a lot out of me physically to do this. I am so mad that someone took them. I surely didn't need to do this. My point was to make the town look festive for Apple-Fest, and to make people smile. So disheartening, first the yellow ribbons taken down, now this. I am going to file a stolen property report in the morning because someone stole my property! So sad, never again will I do anything here!
