William Oliver Fredericks died May 16, 2017, at his home in Delta. He was 77.
Graveside services were held Saturday, May 20, at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Ouray.
Mr. Fredericks was born March 11, 1940, to Albert and Eva Marie (Ziller) Fredericks in Ouray. He spent his childhood and attended school in Ouray.
On Dec. 10, 1982, he married Nadine Mardell Waddle in Tooele, Utah. They shared 34 years of marriage.
He worked as a hard rock miner and was a lifetime member of the Delta Elks. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Broncos, leather work, rocks, collecting belt buckles and sheriff badges, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Nadine Fredericks; sons, William "Bill" Fredericks, Terry Fredericks, Daniel Fredericks, Troy (Shelly) Brooks and Faron (Heidi) Brooks; daughters, Tamara "Tammy" Patterson, Penny Brooks and Amy Price; a brother, Albert "Bud" (Ovelee) Fredericks; a sister, Jonie Clements; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and extended family.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Juluis "Julie" Fredericks; and a sister, Lorriane Schmidt.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
