The Cedaredge Area Chamber of Commerce has announced winners of its Christmas lighting contest and the winning entries in the Parade of Lights.
The Parade of Lights winners are: first place, Brooks Service, a big and boisterous service truck lit up bright-as-could-be that has become a perennial favorite of the parade; second place, Thunder Mountain Wheelers; third place, Bank of Colorado employees entered a heart warming antique Farmall tractor with lots of decorations and lights; and, fourth place, SE Ward Landscaping with two of Steve and Eunice's draft horses pulling a lighted antique wagon.
The Christmas lights contest winners are: $100 first prize to Agusta's Tea Room, 245 NW 3rd; $75 second prize to Tri-R Motel, 885 South Grand Mesa Drive; and $50 third prize to Annie's Pizzeria, 280 West Main.
At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
