Calvin and Marilyn Wyatt of Hotchkiss will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 13.
A family reunion is planned during Delta County Fair week and the "Wyatt Bunch" will enter a float in the fair parade Saturday, Aug. 13. Following the parade, a potluck picnic featuring burgers and brats will be enjoyed at approximately 1:30 p.m. at the Wyatt residence, 34934 Hanson Mesa Road in Hotchkiss. Please bring a side dish. Wedding cake and punch will be served from 4 to 6 p.m.

Cal and Marilyn were married in the Cedaredge Community Methodist Church Aug. 16, 1951. After four years in the U.S. Air Force, they lived in Delta, Moab, Montrose, Pueblo and Cedaredge. They have lived in Hotchkiss for the past nine years, after their second retirement.
They have two sons, Steven Wyatt of Crawford and Marlyn Wyatt, a retired police officer in New Mexico; two daughters, Cala Baldwin of West Jordan, Utah, and Carlla Wyatt of Hotchkiss; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
