Delta resident Lucretia "Criss" Roberts died May 8, 2018, at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. She was 77.
Viewing begins at 9 a.m., and funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, at Taylor Funeral Chapel in Delta. Interment at Delta City Cemetery will follow.
She was born on May 17, 1940, to Rufus and Georgia (McGee) Sisson in Cloud Creek territory in Oklahoma. She spent her first 10 years of her life in Colcord, Okla., and then moved to Hotchkiss. She graduated from Hotchkiss High School.
On Dec. 31, 1956, she married David Roberts Sr. in Hotchkiss. They lived in Nucla for two years before moving to Alaska. They lived in Birchwood, Alaska, for four years then moved to Eagle River, where he worked for the Alaska Railroad and Mrs. Roberts worked for MTA. In 1983 they retired and moved to Delta. They shared 50 years of marriage before his death.
Mrs. Roberts enjoyed gardening, canning, going to yard sales, collecting antiques and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Jackie (Ken) Sawyer of Anchorage, Alaska, and David (Sandra) Roberts Jr. of Wasilla, Alaska; four granddaughters, Kayla, Megan, Alyssa and Cassie; brother, John Sisson of Paonia; and sister, Nancy Pitt Cockroft of Hotchkiss.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Sr.; two sisters; and eight brothers.

During a preliminary hearing in Delta District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Judge Steven Schultz found probable cause for second degree murder charges against Heather Jones.
Jones previously faced three counts in the shooting of Ryan Redifer in Paonia on Jan. 12, 2018 -- assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and violation of a protection order.
