My thanks goes to Rick Bohl for his letter concerning the requirement to purchase a "qualifying tag" before Colorado Parks and Wildlife will process our special draw applications.
I'm 80 years old and my wife is 76 and we both look forward to the fall when we can go to our camp and hope to harvest an elk or deer, if we are lucky enough to draw a tag.
Neither of us hunt turkey or small game so for Colorado Parks and Wildlife to require us to purchase this additional tag is insane.
As seniors on fixed incomes we would like Colorado Parks and Wildlife to reconsider these requirements before the next hunting season. The outcome may determine whether we hunt or buy our meat at the supermarket.
