Some undone business needs to be concluded in regards to the recent prep basketball season.

With Delta and Cedaredge boys and girls teams going to this year's 3A state basketball, season-ending accolades were set on back burners with team banquets scheduled when time permitted.

Delta High School's girls were one of the most successful teams (23-2 overall and 9-0 in league play) in the area with its final game of the season coming at Denver University in Elite Eight play.

The Panthers landed four athletes on this year's 3A All-Conference teams and saw three players extend their seasons in select all-star games after state tournament play had concluded.

Selected to this year's First Team were junior Sara Geddes, sophomore Keely Porter and freshman Erika Kuta.

Sophomore Alexa Huff was an Honorable Mention selection in 2019.

Geddes went on to participate in The Show, a post-season extravaganza, and Porter and Kuta played in another event the same weekend.

Delta coach Kyle Crowder, who posted one of his most successful seasons, was honored as this year's 3A WSL Coach of the Year.

Crowder began his tenure at Delta High School in 2017 with a 13-9 season. In 2018 the Panthers were 18-6 and in 2019 the Panthers were 23-2 for a 54-17 record in three seasons and a state 3A playoff berth.

Up the road from Delta, the Cedaredge Bruins also had a fantastic season finishing 18-6 overall and 7-2 in 3A WSL play.

First Team selections to this year's 3A WSL team were senior Courtney Freeman, sophomore Kimmie Milholland and junior Makayla Kehmeier. Senior Hannah Gardner was an Honorable Mention selection.

Freeman was also honored in the post-season with selections to play in the Colorado Coaches Girls Sports games and the Colorado High School Coaches Association team. Freeman was a CHSAA Second Team All-State selection to cap a splendid career at Cedaredge High School.

Senior Jared Reynolds was Cedaredge's lone All-Conference team selection for the boys team.
