Cedaredge volleyball team playing well

The Cedaredge Bruins began their week in volleyball with a dominating performance in Olathe against the Pirates. The Bruins were in Gunnison on Thursday, Sept. 13, and brought home a 3-0 win over the Cowboys.

Delta wins 3 of 4 in net tilts

Delta's Panthers were in Paonia Sept. 11 for a long-time rivalry with the Eagles. The two teams have battled in sports for decades with little regard as to which team had the larger classification number.

Delta wins four on diamond

Delta High School's softball team outscored its opponents 41-10 this past week raising its season record to 10-2 overall and 3-0 in WSL play.

A visit to Gunnison on Tuesday (Sept. 11) resulted in an 11-1 victory for Delta.

Cedaredge and Delta High Schools took part in last week's Dos Rios Invitational in Gunnison.

Cedaredge High School has played its season schedule with two female golfers on the 2018 roster.



Boyds celebrate golden anniversary

Gary and Yvette Boyd of Delta will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 23. They were married at the Delta County Courthouse in 1968 and have two children, Brad Boyd of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Valerie Kortz of Delta.

Vision Charter Academy (VCA) recognized student achievement and growth during the 2017-18 school year at a back-to-school event at the campus in Delta on Sept. 6.

Fourteen high school learners received academic letters.
