Art and Ag Tour

Oogie McGuire with Desert Weyr LLC walks with a few of the Black Welsh Mountain sheep she raises during the annual Art + Ag Tour. McGuire, who grew up in Paonia, and husband Ken have a flock of 115 sheep and lambs. Among some 1,800 Black Welsh sheep in America, each is registered and named and represents one of the most genetically diverse flocks in the country. Desert Weyr offers raw and roving wool and finished yarns, and grass-finished lamb and mutton and more. They are open Friday-Sunday during the summer, and by appointment.
