Longtime Delta resident Berta Linkletter died May 13, 2018, at Montrose Memorial Hospital. She was 91.
At her request, no services will be held. Inurnment will take place in Delta City Cemetery.
Berta Swisher was born on March 1, 1927, to Ray and Velma (Williams) Swisher in Deerfield, Kan. Her family moved to Delta when she was five, and she graduated from Delta High School in 1945.
On Aug. 13, 1945, she married Jack Linkletter in Whidbey Island, Wash. He preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 2005, in Paonia.
Mrs. Linkletter en-joyed knitting, crocheting, her home and her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Reim and Susan (Don) Likens of Delta; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Linkletter; and a grandson, Bryan Reim.

During a preliminary hearing in Delta District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Judge Steven Schultz found probable cause for second degree murder charges against Heather Jones.
Jones previously faced three counts in the shooting of Ryan Redifer in Paonia on Jan. 12, 2018 -- assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and violation of a protection order.
