Beverlie Carter of Olathe died Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Colorow Care Center. She was 94.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Center for Spiritual Living, 658 Howard Street, Delta.
Beverlie C. Court was born in London, England, Feb. 4, 1921, to Robert and Else (Taylor) Court. She spent her childhood in Kohimarama, Auckland, New Zealand. When she was 14 the family moved to Sydney, Australia, where she graduated from high school. She attended Sydney University.
She was a member of Unity School of Christianity in Kansas City, Mo. She was also a member of Montrose Elks Lodge and Daughters of the British Empire in California.
She enjoyed music, international affairs and politics. She lived in Olathe for 15 years.
She is survived by a son, David (Paula) Carter of Austin; a daughter, Dale Sarita Miller and partner Daniel Shanahan of Sebastopol, Calif.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society.

During a preliminary hearing in Delta District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Judge Steven Schultz found probable cause for second degree murder charges against Heather Jones.
Jones previously faced three counts in the shooting of Ryan Redifer in Paonia on Jan. 12, 2018 -- assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and violation of a protection order.
