Bob Castoe, a longtime resident of Cedaredge, died as the result of a snowmobile accident that occurred on Grand Mesa Christmas Day.
The Delta County Sheriff's Office was alerted to a lost snowmobiler at about 7:45 p.m., when Castoe failed to meet a fellow snowmobiler at Alexander Lake Lodge. Search and rescue was notified, as well as the snow machine team from the Cedaredge Fire Department, and Castoe was found about a half mile east of the Crag Crest parking area, near Eggleston Lake. He was transported to Alexander Lake Lodge to rendezvous with a crew from the Delta County Ambulance District.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the First Baptist Church in Cedaredge. Inurnment will be at Cedaredge Cemetery.
