Montrose won last weekend's boys Hotchkiss Invitational team title with 91 points. Host school Hotchkiss placed fourth with 72 points. Cedaredge's Bruins finished with 81 points to place second.
Cedaredge seniors Ty Grant and Danny Mendoza won individual titles. Grant was a double winner with victories in both the 100 and 200m dashes. Grant had a time of 11.46 for the 100m and recorded a 23.22 in the 200m.
Mendoza won the 300m hurdles with a time of 43.25 and placed third in the 110m high hurdles in a time of 16.71.
The Bruins scored seven points in 400m competition with Drew Markley placing fifth (55.14), Zack McMillan seventh (56.20) and Jordan McMillan eighth (56.24).
Sophomore Tevin Keller finished eighth in the 800m run (2:16.50).
Cedaredge's relay teams finished second in three races and were third in a fourth. Second place finishes went to the 400m relay (46.52), 1600m relay (3:41.77) and the 3200m relay (8:50.21). The Bruins' 800m sprint medley relay team finished third in a time of 1:46.41.
High jumper Alex Barron finished seventh (5-10), Josh Jenkins was eighth in long jump (19-1.25) and Jenkins was fifth in triple jump (39-1).
Cedaredge is set to host an invitational meet March 31 with opening events slated to begin at 9 a.m.
