The 13th annual Bulls 'n Broncs War (formerly the North Fork Challenge) returns to the North Fork Horse Patrol on June 30. This year, $750 of increased money will be added to each of the two main events.
There will also be a costume ride and a boot race for the kids. During the evening, the first North Fork Horse Patrol Scholarship will be presented to a local student. Reservations for limited arena-side parking are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Cost is $50 per vehicle, which includes four event tickets.
Also at the Horse Patrol, the popular mud volleyball tournament returns July 4. The tournament will begin at 3 p.m. Registration fee is $150 per team. Register before the event, or at 2 p.m. the day of the event. Each team must have at least six members, and at least one female is required to be on the court at all times. One half of the pot will be awarded in prize money, and the balance will go to the North Fork Horse Patrol Scholarship Fund. To pre-register for either of these events, or to reserve arena-side parking, call Shane at 970-261-2251 or Haillie at 208-309-1164.
