Cedaredge High School's boys and girls track teams enjoyed sunshine and warm temperatures while competing in last Saturday's Frank Woodburn Track Meet at Stocker Stadium.
Sophomore Kammie Henderson brought home the Bruins only top finish with a jump of 5-2 to win the high jump competition.
There were a couple of seconds for the girls with Megan Jenkins continuing her strong presence in the 100m hurdles and a time of 16.80.
Megan Gastineau, Makaylie Reed, Reganne McIntier and Brie McGovern put together a 2:02.22 in the 800m sprint medley for Cedaredge's second runner-up finish.
Camie Baldozier finished third in the 800m run with a time of 2:28.20 and fourth place finishes went to Aspen Furubotten (300 hurdles, 51.82) and the 400m relay team (Gastineau, Baylee Harris, Furubotten and Reed) with its time of 53.13.
Emily Tullis finished fifth in the 100 hurdles (17.75) with Harris finishing sixth and Furubotten seventh in the event.
The Bruins' 800m relay team placed seventh, as did Jenkins in long jump, with Kylin Mitchell finishing eighth (400m)
For the boys, the only first-place finish came in the 800m relay, a race the Bruins have dominated so far this season. Team members Wyatt Camp, Colby Rupp, Zach McMillan and Alex Barron turned in a winning time of 1:33.84.
Cedaredge's 3200m relay (Hayden Blanks, Tevin Keller, Ryan Imhoff and McMillan) finished second with its time of 8:50.51.
Finishing fourth were Keller (800m, 2:09.77) and Imhoff (300 hurdles, 44.52).
Kaleb Berardi was fifth in shot put (42-2.5) and the 400m relay team (Camp, Rupp, McMillan and Barron) placed fifth with a time of 45.47.
Joshua Jenkins finished eighth in long jump to account for the Bruins 37 points.
All four Delta County schools will converge on Delta this Thursday, April 11, for a 3 p.m. track meet.
The Bruins will also attend the Glenwood Springs meet on Saturday with events scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
