Cherryanne "Cherry" Drew died Feb. 17, 2017, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. She was 74.
Private family services are planned.
She was born in England in 1942.
In 1964, she married James Drew. They moved to the U.S. in 1975 and settled in Paonia in 1980.
Mrs. Drew owned the Redwood Arms Breakfast Shoppe in Paonia and then The Cherry Tree in Hotchkiss. She enjoyed working with people.
She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for many years. She enjoyed crafts and knitting hats. She donated several hundred hand-crafted newborn hats to Delta County Memorial Hospital over the years. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Drew is survived by her daughters, Michelle Westin, Trezjna (Slide) Pearce and Jane (Allen) Kuta; son, Spencer Drew; six grandchildren and their spouses; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Drew.

The Hotchkiss-Crawford Historial Society will host its annual meeting on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 2:00 at the Memorial Hall in Hotchkiss. There will be music, refreshments and a guest speaker, Robert Sibernagel. He is well known in the area as he writes regional history columns for The Daily Sentinel. He was formerly the editorial page editor for that paper for 19 years.
