Clayton D. Sorensen died March 13, 2018, at the age of 54. A celebration of life will be held in the Paonia Town Park Sunday, May 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Mr. Sorensen is survived by three children, Eliya and Ariana of Gunnison and Kai Morgan of Cedaredge; his mother, Willa Sorensen; step-father, Bud VanDenBerg; a brother, James Sorensen; best friends, Brian Owens and Jeff Carpenter and fiancée, Theresa Pekron of Arvada; and extended family.
Memorial donations may be made to the chairty of one's choice.

During a preliminary hearing in Delta District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Judge Steven Schultz found probable cause for second degree murder charges against Heather Jones.
Jones previously faced three counts in the shooting of Ryan Redifer in Paonia on Jan. 12, 2018 -- assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and violation of a protection order.
