Clifford L. Crader of Cedaredge died May 29, 2018. He was 86.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He graduated from the University of New Mexico and earned postgraduate degrees from MIT.
Mr. Crader was in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, where he participated in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. When he retired from the Navy, he joined an international naval engineering firm until he ultimately retired to Cedaredge.
He is surived by his wife, Patricia; and daughters, Virginia and Claudia.
At his request, no services will be held.

During a preliminary hearing in Delta District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 15, Judge Steven Schultz found probable cause for second degree murder charges against Heather Jones.
Jones previously faced three counts in the shooting of Ryan Redifer in Paonia on Jan. 12, 2018 -- assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and violation of a protection order.
