What a pleasure to attend the law enforcement coffee Feb. 28.
So pleased the city has implemented important new initiatives: these community meetings, the school resource officer, full-time code enforcement and the new police dog, which will be introduced at the next coffee.
The chief and staff were met by small children introduced to friendly uniformed officers ... nice. The police were very responsive to our concerns, as a friend and I met later with Commander Cox regarding those; and the chief was upbeat and not defensive in answering our questions at the coffee.
Don't miss the next meeting, even though early.
On May 1, the Cedaredge board of trustees met for a special meeting to appropriate an additional $35,000 from reserves as a loan to the golf course fund.
These funds will be used to purchased a used turf utility vehicle, a spray rig, and to make improvements to the kitchen and dining area of the restaurant.
