Our first responders regularly risk their lives to serve our communities. "This year will be our third annual first responder appreciation barbecue. It provides an opportunity for Colorow residents, employees and family members to honor first responders for their contributions, sacrifices and dedication to public service that they provide," states Jacque Davis, public relations and admissions director for Colorow Care Center. "And this year, like the previous years, staff and volunteers from Colorow will go out into the communities and take those on shift some great barbecue and a token of our appreciation. It is important to us to let these men and women know how much we truly appreciate them."
On Oct. 4, Colorow Care Center will be hosting a barbecue from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. All first responders from Delta and Montrose counties are invited to come and be honored.
"This gives us an incredible honor to have the opportunity to thank everyone for their wonderful work and sacrifice," said Jenny Thomas, administrator for Colorow. "We are encouraging the communities' fire, EMS police, sheriff, search and rescue, coroner, highway patrol and dispatch departments to come and let us celebrate them."
